| My XBOX360 drives me nuts. It is EXTREMELY loud. Additionally it does not have an HDMI port.
I'm pretty sure I can make my console Red Ring by wrapping it up in a towel and turning it on and trying to play GTA for an hour.
Does MS send out new consoles or do they "fix" the old 360? It's my DVD drive that is extremely loud. If that didn't get replaced I wouldn't go through the hassle. The HDMI thing would just be a bonus. | |

The HDMI thing would just be a bonus. I don't believe they send a new one, I sent mine in when I got RROD and I'm pretty sure I got the same one back. I've never had problems with it since though, and I believe they upgrade the processor if you have the old one (not a huge upgrade imo). I'm sure they have to go through some sort of testing so they may replace that if they notice it's loud. As far as the HDMI, you'd have to get an elite and they're not gonna send you that unless you send one in | |

| I know of a few people that have sent in a regular Pro 360 and gotten an HDMI upgrade. You can dare to dream. | |

The HDMI thing would just be a bonus. Mines pretty quiet, i think its quieter now that I've gotten it back from repair but I can't really recall for certain. I'm not sure on the HDMI either, I haven't looked as mine already looks great on HDTV with progressive scan so didn't bother to look. | |
